What does a swap cost?
A swap pays the XRP Ledger network fee, a provider fee that is shown on the confirmation screen and already included in the quote, and accepts up to 1% slippage. There is no separate XRP Mobile fee.
The confirmation screen before a swap shows every cost:
- Network fee. The XRP Ledger fee for the XRP leaving your wallet: a hundredth of a cent.
- Provider fee. A percentage charged by the swap route (0.88% at the time of writing), already included in the quoted rate. What the screen says you get is what you get.
- Max slippage, 1%. The worst rate you accept if the market moves while the swap settles. If it moves further than that, the swap fails and your XRP comes back instead of filling badly.
Why I receive less than the market value shown
The balance screen prices your holdings at a mid market rate. A swap quote is the rate a solver will actually fill at, minus the provider fee, and it moves with liquidity and with the size of the swap. A difference of a fraction of a percent is normal; a larger one means thin liquidity on that pair at that moment, and splitting the swap or waiting usually improves it.
Can I set a price and wait?
No. There are no limit orders. A swap fills at the current quote when you confirm, or fails if the market moves beyond the slippage limit.
Cross-chain sends show the routing cost the same way: the summary tells you what you send and what the recipient receives, and the difference is the cost.
Recovery phrase or secret numbers: what is the difference?
Both are a backup of an XRP Ledger account. A recovery phrase is 12 words and is what XRP Mobile creates. Secret numbers are 8 rows of 6 digits, the format Xaman uses. XRP Mobile imports either.
What does it cost to send XRP?
Sending XRP costs the XRP Ledger network fee, a hundredth of a cent, and nothing else. XRP Mobile does not add a fee on payments.
