I sent to an exchange from another network and it was not credited
A send to another chain travels through the intents layer, so the exchange sees a deposit from an address it does not recognise. Some exchanges hold or refuse those deposits, and show them as pending for days or not at all. The funds are at the exchange; their support credits them with the transaction hash.
How it shows up
- I withdrew USDC to Binance on Base and it never arrived
- My USDC or USDT transfer to the exchange shows completed but the exchange has nothing
- Bybit says the deposit is from an unsupported source
- Sent to Coinbase from my wallet via Ethereum and it is pending for days
Needs a human from the team
Gather the details listed here and contact support from Settings, then Support.
How support confirms it
- Open the transfer's last hash on the destination network's explorer. Confirm it reached the exchange's deposit address with the right asset.
- If confirmed there, the funds are with the exchange: the user opens a ticket with them and attaches that hash.
- If the intents explorer shows the withdrawal leg still pending, treat it as a slow cross-chain send instead.
Have this ready if you contact support
- The transaction hash on the destination network
- The exchange and its deposit address
- A screenshot of the deposit page you copied the address from
What is going on
When you send an asset to another network, the payment that lands at the destination is made by the intents layer on your behalf, not from an address the exchange has seen before. Most exchanges credit it normally. A few hold it for review or refuse "third party" deposits, and the app warns about this on the send screen.
XRP sent natively on the XRP Ledger does not have this problem.
The fix
- Copy the last hash from the transfer screen or from Activity, the one on the destination network.
- Check it on that network's explorer: it should show the amount arriving at the exchange's address.
- Open a ticket with the exchange's support with that hash, the amount and the time. They hold the funds and only they can credit them. It can take days.
Avoiding it next time
- When the destination is an exchange, prefer sending XRP natively and swapping on the exchange.
- Or test with a small amount first on any new route to an exchange.
I sent XRP to an exchange and it never arrived
Exchanges share one XRP address between all their customers and use a destination tag to know whose deposit it is. If the tag was missing or wrong, the XRP reached the exchange but was not credited to you. Only the exchange can fix it.
I withdrew XRP from an exchange and it has not arrived
A withdrawal is sent by the exchange, not by XRP Mobile. Until the exchange sends it there is nothing on the XRP Ledger; once it is on the ledger it lands in seconds. The transaction hash (TXID) in the exchange's withdrawal history shows which of the two it is.
