Common issues
Notifications never arrive
Push permission belongs to the phone, not the app, and iOS only asks for it once per install. If you said no during setup, the switch in the app cannot ask again: you allow it in the phone's settings.
How it shows up
- I turned on notifications in Settings and nothing happens
- I don't get notified when money arrives
- The notification switch is off and won't stay on
You can fix this yourself
No need to contact support: the steps below are the whole fix.
How support confirms it
- Confirm the phone-level permission is granted. No explorer involved.
The fix
- In XRP Mobile, tap the gear, stay on General, and check the Notifications switch is on.
- If the phone did not ask for permission when you flipped it, it already asked once and you said no. Allow it in the phone:
- iOS: Settings, Notifications, XRP Mobile, Allow Notifications.
- Android: Settings, Apps, XRP Mobile, Notifications.
- Come back to the app. From here you hear about money arriving the moment it lands.
Still nothing
- Notifications are per install. If you reinstalled, the phone asks again the first time you flip the switch.
- Focus or Do Not Disturb modes silence them.
- Notifications tell you about incoming funds and updates. They are not a substitute for checking Activity for a specific payment.
I lost my phone or deleted the app
Your funds live on the XRP Ledger and the multichain layer, not on the phone. With your recovery phrase or secret numbers you restore everything on a new device. Without them there is nothing to restore from.
My balance is 1 XRP lower than what I deposited
The XRP Ledger keeps a base reserve of 1 XRP in every account. The app shows what you can actually spend, so the reserve looks missing when it is simply locked.
